Monetary Donations

Donations from our generous community allow the Ukiah Senior Center (USC) to serve its mission of providing programs, services and activities to Ukiah’s seniors and adults with disabilities. USC is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation with no city, state or federal funding. The Center relies on financial gifts from our community, some grant opportunities and various fundraising activities which keep us operational.

Funding received by Ukiah Senior Center is not guaranteed, this is why we depend on YOU, our Ukiah Valley community for support to help keep us operational. The Ukiah Senior Center could not operate without the generous community-based contributions. Memorial and Special Donations

A thoughtful way to honor a loved one who may be ill, having a birthday or another special event can be a donation to the Center in their Honor.

Perhaps an ‘in Memory of…’ donation is an option for the passing of a loved one.

These are lasting donations and can be designated to a specific activity or program of your choice. Donations will always be recognized in the month’s edition of The Scoop and an acknowledgement card can be sent to the name and address you provide.

LEGACY GIFT

Consider supporting the Ukiah Senior Center with a legacy gift. This is a planned gift you can set up within your estate plan. Legacy gifts can be made during the donor’s lifetime or after their death, and can include money, property, stocks, or other valuable items. The most common type of legacy gift is a bequest, where the donor names a nonprofit as the recipient of a percentage of their estate, a flat amount, or the remainder of their estate.

Active donors, please consider continuing your support after you have passed, by donating to the Ukiah Senior Center with a Legacy Donation. Ensuring the valuable programs and activities you love cherish will continue to be provided by USC for future generations.

PROGRAM ITEM DONATIONS

When doing your personal shopping, think of adding an item to your cart that could be used or benefit Ukiah Senior Center. A little from everyone can go a long way.

Items that we regularly need for various USC activities are: coffee, filters, paper plates (small and large), salad toppings (kidney beans, beets, olives, garbanzo beans) plastic forks and spoons, juices (tomato, apple, grape, cranberry), decaf coffee, non-dairy coffee creamer, sugar free hot chocolate, Clorox wipes, napkins, Kleenex, and baby wipes, restroom supplies, cleaning supplies.

Larger items needed are: Industrial floor scrubber, Industrial vacuum, floor steam cleaner, cash register, point of sale system.

THRIFT STORE DONATIONS

Donations of like-new quality or gently used items for the Thrift Store are greatly appreciated. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of items bring in much needed revenue, which assist with operational expenses. Donations are accepted Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. until 12:00. For donations outside these hours, please call the center to make special arrangements. (707) 462-4343 ext. 211

We are happy to provide you with a donation receipt for your records.

USC can help with receiving estate items. Call to request a team to pick up your donation.
